Aria De Castro is a passionate jazz vocalist, actor, and multi-instrumentalist based in Toronto. Known for her rich and versatile voice, she takes inspiration from Ella Fitzgerald, Eydie Gormé, Keely Smith, Jo Stafford, and Peggy Lee to fuel her personal artistry. She has performed with various swing big bands (The Toronto All-Star Big Band; The Toronto Swing Shift Big Band) as well as her own group (The Aria De Castro Quintet) at musical venues across Ontario including the Palais Royale Ballroom, the Beaches Jazz Festival, the Rex Hotel Jazz & Blues Bar, the Old Mill Toronto, Reid’s Distillery and more. She has also headlined musical events outside of Canada, all the way from New York, USA to Madeira Island, Portugal. Along with her swingin' quartet, Aria effortlessly captures the nostalgic sound and style of the 1940s/50s while still bringing her individual flare to the genre!
