FAQs

Do you open late?

Yes — and in a city that mostly calls it a night at 2AM, that's not nothing. We're one of the very few venues in Toronto with a 4AM licence, and we fill the extra hours with live music, dancing, and the kind of nights that are hard to explain the next morning.

Is the patio dog friendly?

Is there a cover charge?

Most nights are pay-what-you-can — give generously, the musicians will notice. On Fridays and Saturdays after 11PM, it's $10–$15 at the door. Every cent goes directly to the people on stage. Worth it. Very worth it.

Is there parking nearby?

There's a paid lot right out back. Not free, but it's there. Toronto, you know. Street parking is also available in the area, though availability varies by time of night.

What time does the kitchen close?

The kitchen closes at 11pm Sunday through Thursday. On Friday and Saturday nights, we serve food until 4am — one of the only spots in the city where you can get a proper meal that late.

Do I need a reservation, or can I walk in?

On weekends, yes — we fill up fast and we'd hate for you to show up and find a full room. Weeknights, feel free to stroll in like you own the place. You don't, but we'll make you feel like you do.

Is the venue accessible?

Yes. There's a ground-level entrance and an accessible washroom on the main floor. Fair warning: that washroom occasionally moonlights as a staff storage closet. We're working on it.

What kind of music do you play?

All of it. Seriously — klezmer, Balkan brass, Georgian polyphony, gypsy jazz, folk from places you can't always find on a map, and party bands that will not let you stay in your seat. If it has soul and a story, it has a home at DROM.

Live music in Toronto tonight?

Very possibly, yes. Check our schedule and see what's on — we host up to 100 acts a month, so the odds are good.

Eastern European restaurant in Toronto?

That's us. Come for the food, stay for the music, leave with new friends and strong opinions about Georgian wine.

Where are you located?

458 Queen Street West — right in the heart of Toronto's Queen West neighbourhood, a short stumble from Kensington Market. DROM is right in the heart of it, right on Queen St West. A proper neighbourhood spot with an international soul.

Can I book a private event at DROM?

Absolutely. Buyouts, private shows, the whole room — it's all possible. Head to our reservations page and let's make something happen.
