Rat Grenade is still coming down - with the release of their debut album, After the Riot in late August of this year, Rat Grenade has not stopped for a breather. Their debut full-length release features a wide showcasing of Rat Grenade’s frenetic style of ska, punk and garage, all of which you can get an even bigger and louder dose of from their live performance. Their danceable/disheveled sound has been described as 'a punk rock pipe bomb, loud, fast, and impossible to ignore' with 'just enough melody to keep grandma nervous.' They've recently shared the stage with ska and punk mainstays such as Save Ferris, Ska Face, Punk Rock Factory, Diesel Boy and local favs Lip Crunch.

Formed in Toronto in the late days of 2024, these still relatively-new Rats exploded into the Toronto punk scene with minor collateral damage. While rooted in tones and rhythms of 1990s skate punk, Rat Grenade weaves in tropes of garage rock, ska and heck even folk a bit for a fast and frantic take at what power pop might sound like if you made it chug a litre of Red Bull after having not showered or slept for three days straight.
