CASSAVA Latin Band
Cassava is a Latin band based in Toronto, Canada, performing music inspired by the diverse styles and rhythms of Latin America. Our music reflects the colour, flavour, and energy of both traditional and contemporary Latin music.
The band specializes in a wide range of Latin styles, including Salsa, Bolero, and Cha-Cha from Cuba; Bossa Nova and Samba from Brazil; Cumbia from Colombia; and Merengue and Bachata from the Dominican Republic. For special events, Cassava also offers an English-language repertoire and contemporary Latin Jazz, as well as vibrant original compositions.
Cassava's performances are colourful, energetic, and ideal for festivals, clubs, corporate functions, and special events. Audience participation is an essential part of every show. We invite everyone to dance, sing, and become part of the experience, creating an atmosphere that keeps the crowd moving to authentic Latin rhythms.
