Carmen Lienqueo is a Mapuche Chilean singer, songwriter, and artist whose music connects memory, territory, and identity with the contemporary languages of global music. Her work moves between Latin American roots music, electronics, and sonic experimentation, creating a distinctive, profound, and contemporary sound. In 2021, she received the Pulsar Award for Best Roots Music Artist for her album Canto para siempre. In 2023, she released Los Poderes, further developing her electronic and experimental approach. She is currently entering a new creative stage, incorporating elements of Andean tradition and sounds from the Global South, while expanding her work toward international audiences and global music circuits.
