"Freedom of the Soul" — An Epic Journey of Cello and Voice
Erna Daugaviete, a Latvian-born cellist, singer, composer, and arranger, captivates audiences worldwide with over 100 annual performances as a solo artist and ensemble member. Her voice and cello creations frequently appear on radio charts across the globe.
Her program, Freedom of the Soul, is a genre-defying journey where music transcends boundaries and flows freely between worlds. Drawing on her Baltic, Slavic, and Viking heritage and blending it with global influences, Erna fuses epic, ethnic, pop, folk, fusion, new age, and light and dark feminine energy into a transformative concert experience.
With her loop station and no playbacks, Erna crafts what she calls a "cello ocean" in real time, building expansive soundscapes live on stage.
The program features original works like Wetrah (Storm), Mother of the Sea, and Baltic Beats, alongside beloved pieces from Hans Zimmer, Yann Tiersen, Lana Del Rey, Billie Eilish, and Wardruna.
Freedom of the Soul is more than a concert—it’s a journey through sound, spirit, and the deepest realms of human emotion.
