Connects the Domani communities (Rroms, Romani) of Syria and Persia.This band will perform music imbued with the multiple cultures, melodies, tones, and captivating sounds of Iran and its neighboring countries.Composed of the legendary Moldovan accordionist of Rrom/Romani music Sergiu Popa, the talented  cellist Noémy Braun, the amazing percussion player Rodrigo Chavez and the Azerbaijani tar player Mohammad Aman and a special guest (singer) who will present a whole panoply of songs inspired by Persian poems inspired by Sufi mysticism in Farsi, Kurdish and Azeri, Turkish languages (with translation into English). 

$15 cover after 10PM and $20 after 2AM, with all proceeds going directly to the musicians performing.

SIKURIS ST LAWRENCE

Sikuris St Lawrence, a Toronto-based ensemble of Peruvian and Chilean musicians, brings authenticity to their rich musical heritage, blending traditional Andean rhythms, virtuosic instrumental solos, original compositions plus Peruvian and Colombian cumbia dancing music to create a captivating experience of real South American music.

The band has performed extensively at various festivals, concerts and venues in Canada through the years. Committed to preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of the Andean region, Sikuris believes that traditional music is a powerful tool for community building and cultural revitalization.

Through their music, they aim to inspire a new generation of young people to connect with their roots and their communities, creating a deeper appreciation for the rich cultural traditions of the Andes.
