LuA is Shameema Soni and Maryem Tollar. Shameema was born in South Africa and Maryem was born in Egypt. They both came to Canada at a very young age and have musical influences from all over the world including Jazz, Arabic, African, R&B and folk music. They will be joined by bass player Waleed Abdulhamid - originally from Sudan, percussionist Naghmeh Farahmand - originally from Iran, and woodwind player Ernie Tollar. They are currently recording their debut CD with support from The Ontario Arts Council. It will be out in 2024.

Seasonal Birds is a Toronto-based folk duo made up of members Maia T P and Seán Parker. Raw with emotion, they share equal parts in composing their songs while utilizing their songwriting to carefully paint a picture of the city, of love, and all that those two things hold.
