Val' Cassino Music is a project bringing traditional southern Italian songs to the city, reaching beyond the well-trod repertoire into the deeper depths of tradition.  Like so much folk music of the world, these songs represent the artistic legacy of generations of disenfranchised, often illiterate people, and are a living testament to the consciousnesses of human beings whose worlds are otherwise lost to us.
Poverty, humour, mysticism, beauty, and unbridled emotion constitute the world of these songs.  Through music, people found expression not only in their sufferings but in the moments of ecstatic happiness they found, principally in one another.

SWING DANCE TUESDAYS

8:15 - Late

Join us every Tuesday at Drom Taberna for our swing dance nights with swing dance lessons and a live band. Tables will be cleared so there will be plenty of space for your moves!

8:15-9PM - swing dance class, all levels welcome! $10 entry

9-11PM - Open dance with live band.
$10 entry

11-late - Open stage/jam for musicians, dance floor stays open to dancers too!!
