Her classical training and global influences shape a soundscape that crosses boundaries, resonating with diverse audiences.

Marichka Marczyk’s powerful voice and deep knowledge of Ukrainian folk music anchor the performance. As a folklorist and thnomusicologist, Marichka’s mastery of traditional Ukrainian songs brings authenticity (Balaklava Blues and Lemon Bucket Orkestra) and infuses contemporary vibrancy into ancient forms. Her award-winning work has earned accolades from festivals and media outlets worldwide, making her a renowned figure in the global folk scene.

The Trouble Notes are a progressive world folk trio. Known for their explosive energy and worldly melodies, the band was formed in 2013 by violinist Bennet Cerven and has since become renown in the international world folk scene. The band’s core hails from three different continents: American violinist Bennet Cerven, German guitarist Florian Eisenschmidt and Australian drummer Julian Lardis.

Their shows are full of surprises, known to feature international guest performers, adding to the energetic worldly sounds at the heart of their repertoire. They have toured extensively in Europe and North America. They have performed on Television in the USA, Europe, Japan and Brazil. They have played on many of Europe’s large festival stages and with major international acts like Jethro Tull, Rodrigo y Gabriela, and America.
