Funk Yo Self is a high energy and sophisticated party-band sensation hailing from the Outaouais region. Funk Yo Self keeps fans reeling with their unique blend of psychedelic, funk and jazz fusion.
Having performed in clubs from Toronto to Montreal, in the Ottawa Bluesfest, as well as different festivals across Ontario and Quebec, their superbly executed, unassailable grooves, and unstoppable energy keeps the dance floor FUNKIN' all Night-long!
Their sound is influenced and reminiscent of James Brown, Jamiroquai, the late era Miles Davis, and Lettuce, making their live performance one of the most original, funkiest, and soulful musical experiences in the country.
Sharing the bill are the legendary Shuffle Demons, a genre bending, highly visually entertaining, jazz/funk band with an electrifying musical fusion that draws from Sun Ra, Charles Mingus, Run DMC and the Beastie Boys. Expect exciting, no holds barred performances that feature wild romps in the crowd, free jazz moments, danceable funk, poetry, killer solos and more. Shuffle Demons are a perfect festival, theatre or club act.
Shuffle Demons have released 11 albums, won several music awards and have toured nationally and internationally including 25 cross Canada tours, 5 US tours, 19 European tours, as well as tours of Central and South America, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Africa.

CPT. UNCLE

Cpt. Uncle is an instrumental rock ensemble based in Montréal QC. Combining the sonic palette of heavy music, the philosophical approach to performance of free jazz, and good old fashioned absurdism to create a unique form of loud musical propaganda intended to aid in the evolution of the collective human spirit.
The Democratic People’s Republic of Cpt. Uncle is dedicated to the dissemination of its propaganda in whatever venues possible in order to spread its message of angular musical experimentation, sonic texture, and sick riffs, with the hope that we can maintain the importance of live performance in a musical landscape increasingly dominated by the alienating forces of our current society.
