ELISE BOEUR & ADAM IREDALE-GRAY
6.00 - 8.00
A founding member of indie-folk band Fish & Bird, Adam Iredale-Gray is a versatile guitarist and fiddler with deep roots in Irish traditional music and a commitment to innovation. Fiddler and Hardanger fiddle player Elise Boeur draws from the wells of Norwegian and Swedish fiddle music, melds in fistfuls of arcane influences, and emerges with a multi-faceted sound grounded in Nordic traditions. Usually seen touring with their JUNO nominated neo-folk quintet Aerialists, this is an opportunity to hear their roots come out in a duo setting, as they dig into tunes on hardingfele, guitar, and raging twin fiddles.
JOANNE MORRA
8.00 - 11.00
The Toronto songstress released her debut album Alouette in 2017, a deeply personal collection of classics ranging from Québécois rock to jazz standards, blues and German cabaret. Also featured are original compositions, as well as surprising renditions of French folk songs such as Au chant de l’Alouette and Un Canadien errant, all made magnificent by warm and sensual vocals. The album, self-produced with Eric St-Laurent, is entirely acoustic and delivers sweet, silky sounds that are both melancholy and up-lifting.
15$ cover after 10pm, with all proceeds going directly to the musicians performing.

ASTROSURF
2.30 - 3.45
Astrosurf plays catchy melodies on reverb laden electric guitar. We interpret the music of surfers, cowboys and spies that the early electrical Fender guitar influenced so heavily in the 50’s. Depending on the night you might hear us play our own songs using classic sounds, classic TV and movie music, obscure old time songs and other hits from the 50’s.
