The Excelsior Jazz Band was formed in Toronto in 1974. The band is now enjoying its 48th year performing Traditional New Orleans Jazz in Toronto and throughout Southern Ontario. The Excelsior Jazz Band enjoyed a 14 year run at The Delta Chelsea Hotel every Saturday afternoon and recently the pandemic interrupted a 14 year run of performing at The Rex Hotel every Sunday afternoon! The band recently lost it's long time leader/banjo player Syd Calvert at the age of 96; Syd was the band's leader for over 35 years. The band, now under the leadership of longtime Excelsior drummer Glenn Anderson and we're looking forward to our 50th anniversary in 2024!!

Bureh Bk & The Shop is a Toronto based jazz quintet comprising of Bureh Bollo-Kamara on guitar, Connor Moe on saxophone, Carlo Santo Domingo on bass, Omar Gittens on drums and Racha Moukalled on the vibraphone. The ensemble’s sound combines elements of gospel, punk rock and African music over a foundation in jazz. The ensemble released their first EP “Forward Motion” in March 2022 and continually perform around the city.
