Matthew Coldwell carries a tone that taps into a true vintage sound. Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta he found success playing with various folk, bluegrass and improvised ensembles. He performed across Canada and recorded on numerous studio albums before relocating to further studies in Jazz Double Bass at University of Toronto. Since he has excelled leading his group Doghouse Orchestra, featuring many of his original compositions and arrangements. He is also found behind the bass in bands Country Casanovas and The Double Cuts. Listeners easily identify with his driving sound drawing from traditional jazz and country music. His vast taste in music brings a unique sound for all types of audiences to enjoy.
FETHI NADJEM

Fethi Nadjem, a versatile musician and composer, was born in Algeria in 1983 into a family of musicians. He started playing the guitar and oud at the age of 13 and continued to develop his skills through the Fine Arts Association in Algiers, where he learned Andalusian music and played violin and mandole. Co-founding Djmawi Africa at the age of 21, a fusion band that continues to perform worldwide, Nadjem later moved to Toronto and began playing with various bands and musicians, including Jesse Cook, Moskitto Bar, Moneka Arabic Jazz, Maryem Hassan Tollar, and more. He also works on his own fusion music project.

You make up a title, We make up a song." Since autumn of 2009 Michael Louis Johnson leads giant party sessions with as many as 16 players musicians. The music is completely improvised with an emphasis on the different cultural ideas of “dance music”. The collection of players is varied, with seasoned professionals playing alongside eager amateurs.

Shane Jacob Philips is a long-standing figure in the Toronto soul music scene. He can regularly be found singing classic soul music at various spots throughout the city. Expect to hear Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway as well as a variety of Motown and funk favourites.
