Dhaivat Jani PLUS is the brainchild of the band leader Dhaivat Jani. Dhaivat is a composer, drummer and tabla player based out of Toronto, who hails originally from Ahmedabad, India - the city of love, fun, food and heat. Dhaivat Jani holds a degree in Jazz Music as well as Indian Classical music.

Dhaivat Jani PLUS serves original music by Dhaivat in contemporary jazz with Indian Classical and Rock Music with improvisation at its core. Dhaivat has been involved in working professionally as a musician with various art-forms such as filmmaking, dance, and poetry amongst others.

Drawing inspiration from artists such as Chris Potter, Brad Mehldau, Led Zeppelin, Trilok Gurtu, Radiohead, Brian Blade, Tigran Hamasyan, Dhaivat Jani PLUS emphasizes on storytelling and narrative in their composition and presentation, which gives the audience a journey-like experience throughout the show. Formed in early 2020, the group has been performing in Toronto and around GTA.

Cameron Summers is an Ontarian songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer who blends the sounds of midcentury country music and traditional folk music, tied together with baroque sensibilities. He currently attends Humber College in Toronto, where he studies jazz guitar. However, he is also talented on the banjo, fiddle, mandolin, steel guitar, dobro, bass, harmonica, a whole host of other instruments, and he sings a little, too.
