João Leão

6.00

Brazilian musician and producer João Leão brings the creative energy of Brazil's contemporary independent scene, having participated in more than 30 albums and toured internationally with important Brazilian indie artists. Living in Toronto since 2018, João is also highly sought in the local Brazilian and Latin music scenes. His first album, Bilis Negra (2018), explores an atmosphere of introspection and melancholy, backed by carefully placed electric piano mantras and textures with a dash of the most authentic Bossa Nova vibes.

EPIC KLEZMER JAM

Just the way you remember them before the end of the world.

MELTEM
8.00

Music is a place to set differences aside and see what can be created when two seemingly different things are brought together. Meltem is such a group. They enjoy bringing together traditional Turkish and Greek music to celebrate the complementary nuances of these cultures. They combine traditional Greek and Turkish instruments and Western instruments creating a unique soundscape of reimagined folk music.

CAMILO RESTREPO
11.00

From mundane to boisterous to outright risqué, Camilo's soloist repertoire ranges from classic Robert Johnson takes, to the more obscure predecessors of the genre, while stopping to salute folk masters such as Dave van Ronk and Doc Watson. Camilo's rendition of classic tunes are meticulously respectful of original recordings while inevitably conveying his personal sensitivities. Camilo plays all around Toronto, a city that continues to provide the atmosphere for him to hone his skills and channel his lifelong love for the Blues.
