Sour Stew is a Toronto-based jazz trio with a heavy latin and funk influence. They perform a mix of original music, standards, and compositions by artists such as Chick Corea, Pat Metheny, Bheki Mseleku, and Joshua Redman. Alex (piano), Sergio (bass), and Zach (drums) met at university, where they played together in jazz ensembles, and they've been jamming (and cooking) together ever since. They will be joined on December 1st by Kate Stephens on vocals and Adrian Humphry on alto saxophone.

Grooveyard is a high energy funk, r&b, and beyond band under the leadership of guitarist Michael Occhipinti and singer Lester McLean, with Paul Neufeld (keyboards), Doan Pham (drums), and Nikku Nayar (bass). The band’s set list is rooted in old-school funk and soul that Grooveyard uniquely makes its own while also drawing on reggae, dance music, ‘80’s new wave, classic rock, and mash ups with hidden gems. The band is all about getting people grooving and moving and having a great time, which is why they’ve been a staple of Toronto’s music scene for over two decades.

Led by saxophonist, Dennis Kwok, the band pays homage to Japanese fusion classics from 70s and 80s, with high energy original compositions, fusion arrangements of video game soundtracks and classic city-pop tracks.
