Join us on Feb 24th at DROM Taberna, as we celebrate the resilience and cultures of Ukraine’s peoples and observe the two year anniversary of the full-scale invasion.
Two years ago, on Feb 22, 2022, DROM held space for their community left in shock when the Russian military entered and led aerial attacks on all regions of Ukraine. Coming together, many found determination to stand with Ukraine and champion its culture. After 24 months of brutal violence, we return to DROM to reaffirm our support, mourn losses, celebrate resistance, and gather support to help the effort.
Enjoy a lineup of local musicians, poets, artists and purchase from local vendors who will be donating their time and talents to make this commemorative event.
On Feb 24th:
100% of tix sales and all of Drom's profit of the night will go to Project Soniashnyk @projectsoniashnyk to support their work with children and to Nash Battalion Cherkasy, to contribute to their evacuation buggy fund.

Trumpet virtuoso Nizo Alimov is a master of Balkan and Romani music, born and raised in Štip, Macedonia. He brings a wealth of experience and the true essence of Macedonian Brass and Turkish Romani styles. He moved to Toronto after years of performing and touring with Koçani Orkestar - the internationally-acclaimed Macedonian Roma Brass band. He's both an accomplished multi-instrumentalist and an enthusiastic and generous teacher of the traditions he was raised in.
