Irie Vibes is a Brampton-based ensemble that performs a unique fusion of musical styles including pop, jazz, reggae and ska music. This ensemble includes trombonist and bandleader Mike Smith, saxophonist Matt Palmer, vocalist Tonie Robinson-Miller, guitarist Frank Adriano, bassist Tamara Fernandes and drummer William Snodgrass. Members of Irie Vibes are a diverse group of musicians from different cultures with rich and varied musical experiences. They can be found playing their eclectic blend of music in various pubs and restaurants, and they always bring the irie vibes! Irie Vibes began when Mike Smith recruited some fellow members of the Brampton Concert Band to begin exploring the reggae style. Mike shared many reggae and ska tunes, and eventually broadened the repertoire to include genres that represent all of the band’s members. They are constantly diversifying their musical palette drawing on the unique strengths, backgrounds, and multi-instrumental capabilities found in the group. Since forming about six years ago, Irie Vibes has been featured at a variety of GTA bars and restaurants. They have also enjoyed providing live entertainment at private parties and wedding receptions. They have performed as part of the Brampton Arts Alive Festival in 2017, the Brampton Party in the Lanes in 2018 and the World of Jazz Festival 2021 and 2022.

In the 90's, Bottomley was inspired by the fast-growing funk and groove scene in Toronto and started the Braindfudge collective that continues to this day. Currently including Great Bob Scott (drums), Donne Roberts (African Guitar Summit, guitar) and Richard Underhill and Perry White (The Shuffle Demons, saxophones). “The Fudge” lay Bottomley’s signature rock, Afrolatin and reggae-infused funk grooves thick and heavy, performing regularly at music clubs, festivals and private events across Ontario.

A talented lyricist, his songs reveal emotional complexity not expected from a man of his generation. His stage presence captivates audiences young and old as he pours his heart and soul into each note on his guitar, and raw, uninhibited expression into his vocals. Heavily influenced by the Chicago legends, The Little Magic Sam Band’s latest E.P., “Step Back”, was recorded directly to tape and mixed in mono, to give it that old school sound.
