THURSDAY

THE GARDENERS
5.30

Enjoy a night of fine folk & country music!
Harkening back to the days of harmony driven vocals, steel-stringed rhythms, and melodies percolating out of a Mississippi saxophone, The Gardeners (Ross Fizzard & Dale Ross) are taking this sound and modernizing it.

A son of Fort Mac and well travelled machine, Ross Fizzard writes forward, witty country songs like John Prine and has a voice not heard since Ramblin’ Jack Elliott.

Alt-folk songwriter, Dale Ross, fuses memorable pop melodicism with the wit of classic folk balladry.

Ross and Dale will each play a short solo set and then join forces as The Gardeners.

JUNESTONE
2.30

Named for the sixth month of the year and a semiprecious stone said to protect anyone travelling by night or by water, Junestone is the innovative and illuminating musical vision of Olivia Brown, Borys Franiczek, Ian Aisling, and Justin McHugh.
Smitten with jazz and rock as they are, the band’s playing and writing are inspired by America’s Classical Music and 90’s alternative hits alike. Although consistently influenced by music from everywhere, they ultimately owe it all to American music legends like Charles Mingus, James Brown, and Erykah Badu.
