JUST GRAHAM
6.00

Graham is a songwriter at heart. Since picking up a box violin at the age of five though the Suzuki Music program in Toronto, he has always played by ear and listened for the melody.

Drawn to the intimacy and immediacy of the stage, Graham reached his 10,000 hours by performing with countless groups through the “10’s”. A singer and multi-instrumentalist, the highlight of this chapter was co-leading Canadian Indie Folk outfit Common Deer from 2014 to 2021, who toured extensively in Canada and the U.S. to support three studio releases.

In the stillness of the pandemic, song writing flooded back in. A new honesty emerged both in texture and words. Graham now knows a greater responsibility and seeks his best both in sentiment and delivery. Owning his stage name from a solo project back in 2007, Just Graham wants to remind you that love isn’t dead, and beauty lies in imperfection.

The Woodshed Orchestra exists to uplift people. The Woodshed Orchestra mashes up classic dance styles from all over the world into a soulful celebration. Iconoclastic Toronto drummer Dave Clark (Rheostatics, Charles Spearin, Dinner is Ruined, Gord Downie…) created The Woodshed Orchestra with passionate, courageous and joyful friends to play the music from his original songbook. Clark leads the band “Levon Helm-style” from the drumkit, singing and sharing the lead vocal duties with members of the band. The band is a powerhouse that can improvise and turn tunes around on a dime to create unique frenzied moments that leave audiences awestruck and excited. The Woodshed Orchestra can play out as an electric band with drums, guitars, horns, keyboards and vocals and just as easily break out into a New Orleans-type 2nd Line brass band on parade. They plays with all the love that they have in their hearts every time they take the stage. It’s a beautiful thing.
