THE RICHES

Chelsea Russell is an Alternative RnB singer-songwriter. She describes her music as a personal diary made public outlining what it means to realize womanhood and all the mixed emotions that came with raising herself alone in a new country.

The Riches are a 7 piece art rock circus - since 2017

8TH STREET QUINTET
8.00

The biggest little brass band on the street.

15$ cover after 10pm, with all proceeds going directly to the musicians performing.

HANBA!
11.30

HANBA! travels through a divided 1930s Poland in concept work that imagines Punk emerging in this frenetic period. The uncertainty of interwar Europe, channelled through Punk, is a bizarre but intriguing concept. The result is a rousing, rebellious sound to the rich culture of a hectic era. Polish poets such as Julian Tuwim deliver the words in a bold Buzzcocks-Esque vocal style. Banjo and accordion replace guitars, and pulsing tuba stands for bass.

NOEMI & LE FRIENDLESS CREW
2.30

Originally from Ottawa, Noémi is a bilingual multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter. Her songs explore the lyrical franco+anglo folk and pop genres and she draws inspiration from her classical training and love of French chanson. She plays with the incredibly talented Friendless Crew consisting of Andy Sharp (guitar), Billy Boulet-Gagnon (harmonica, saxophone, whistle, flute and bagpipes ), John William Blakeley Laberge (bass) and Lowell Whitty (drums).
