Rima & The Bees is a Toronto born band that fuses genres to honour music gems from different decades. Its lead by guitarist Lucas Castro and Vocalist Rima Telmun. They will be accompanied by Nick Hanson on Sax, Eiji Tay on Drums, and Adam Motaouakkil on Bass.
We will travel across the countries of the global south through this series which will happen once a month on sundays at drom taberna
Each month we will offer dishes from Two countries in our region

Kathy Zhou (Memphis, TN) and Chinyi C invite you into their journey of colorful moods and memories. Audiences can expect to ride the waves of melancholy and catharsis, be moved by heartfelt storytelling, and be entertained by soulful, engaging playing. They will leave feeling mesmerized and replenished, like they just journeyed into a fantasy world, revisited their most heart wrenching emotions, and came back with renewed validation and self-love.
Kathy Zhou is a classically trained pianist and folk-pop singer-songwriter in Memphis, TN. She combines her virtuosic piano prowess with imaginative folk lyrics and a hauntingly whimsical voice. Her mesmerizing style and presence captivate audiences, inviting an atmosphere of avant-garde magic and prompting heartfelt reflection and discussion. In 2023, Kathy’s music video to her song, “Strange Child,” was in the international Indie Memphis Film Festival. Kathy’s EP, “A Vivid, Magic, Scene,” is a collection of songs about processing the past and coming to terms with the present, drawing upon nature/fantasy themes.
Singapore-born, Toronto-based Chinyi C writes music that feels like a hug from your favourite person. Honest, soothing, and thoughtful, she tells stories through intimate lyricism and lush fingerpicking with folk-pop elements. She first broke into the indie folk music scene with her debut EP, “All We Are” (2022), a compilation of six songs on resilience, heartbreak, and moving on. In 2024, she released her single, “Human”, a folk and chamber-pop exploration accompanied by a music video that she co-directed. Chinyi is currently working on her next recording project and has played shows with Sofar Sounds, YYZ Live , and Music On The Fly with Billy Bishop Airport.

Carmen Lienqueo possesses a magnetic voice, with deep and straightforward lyrical work capable of transporting all listeners to the diverse landscapes of Latin America. She spent 20 years performing in folk-rooted groups, a natural response to her exploration of rhythmic patterns inherent to her roots, drawing from popular poetry and the singing traditions of South America. She traveled extensively across the continent with various projects, with the Chilean-Colombian band Makina Kandela being her primary school for 11 years. Her current exploration as a soloist and singer-songwriter is under her maternal name, presenting a repertoire with lyrics imbued with intimacy that reflects a very personal perspective, echoing the everyday reality of society in which she lives and her experiences as an artist

A voice like a prayer, a spirit like the wind— FERNANDA wanders the deer trails between earth and sky, an artist devoted to the path of self-expression.
Her forthcoming EP Deer Trails (December 12/25) is a demo-tape inspired collection of songs for the pathfinder and the poet. Grounded by raw vocal power and strong acoustic rhythms, FERNANDA weaves elements of roots, folk, and blues together into an eclectic and mystic realm of her own.
FERNANDA’s live set remains intentionally stripped-down and acoustic, preserving the intimacy and emotional clarity of her voice and songwriting. Whether performing with just a guitar or incorporating movement and storytelling, her shows create space for reflection, connection, and transformation.
