Shannon Butcher is an acclaimed Canadian singer, songwriter, arranger and record producer. She charms audiences with her joyful wit and warm energy. Shannon’s original songs reveal the breadth of her influences, from the sounds of Big Band music halls to Yorkville folk coffeehouses. As an arranger, she interprets chart topping pop songs with a fresh and exciting jazz perspective.

Shannon is proud to be an established part of the Toronto jazz community both as a performer and educator. She has been a fixture in major festivals in Ontario, toured across Canada,and performed across The United States and in England.

Shannon has released five albums under her own label Summer Bloom Records, her first album earning an iTunes’ Best New Jazz Artist of the Year award. Her songs are in high rotation on CBC and JazzFM.91 and can be heard on radio stations across the world.

MINT

MINT are a groove-based hybrid guitar and drum duo who bring a blend of melodic and rhythmic elements of R&B, soul, hip-hop, funk and jazz while adding their individual inspiration to the mix. MINT creates a chill, vibey, head bobbing atmosphere which encompasses dreamy reflection and storytelling. Based in Toronto, MINT formed in 2019 and have been writing and creating with their efforts culminating in the EP titled "Of This World.

COMIENZOS

Rosewood, reeds, strings and percussion join together in the unique group: Comienzos. With Jamie Sunshine on marimba and percussion, Jeremy Spindler on accordion, Brian DeJesus on upright bass, and Brian McKenna on percussion. Formed in Buffalo, NY in 2022, Comienzos interpret a rich repertoire of Central American, Brazilian and world music spanning from traditional folk to modern pop. The trio brings to audiences colorful bubbles of temporal pauses and voyages, hip moving rhythms and energetic and playful improvisations. Comienzos embodies the celebration of three very distinct instruments and their broad ranges of expressive voices to evoke to audiences a wide spectrum of emotion.
