7pm Flamenco Sundays

A few years ago, the Toronto Flamenco community hosted weekly Sunday Flamenco nights at a place called Naco, and we are looking to start that up again!

We will start off with a duo performance, and then open the floor to the broader flamenco community - come practice your favourite letra and dance moves!

10pm Commander & Thief

Commander & Thief is a Toronto-based instrumental trio fusing worldly sounds to inspire conscious resistance to the status quo. Bringing together diverse groups of people musically and socially, they actively celebrate life, share culture, ideas and musical vibrations. This jam is for everyone, and it won't stop 'till the revolution is vibing to the frequency.

The project started with a series of jams in late 2015. Brothers PJ Hawkins and Karlītos were preparing an original set for a gig, when they invited saxman Adlar Gross on board.

The wicked brew started to bubble and after a few shows, the trio began recording their debut EP - Groundswell. On the 4th of November 2017, their debut EP was released in Kensington Market, Toronto with the help of multiple local musicians adding congas, keys, raps, vocals, and visual effects to make the live show a true collaborative experience. Now the band is expanding their ambitions outwards to reach audiences beyond the city limits…
