BAOBÁ

Baobá is a trio formed by Toronto’s top female percussionists that take traditional beats to the next level. Empowered by the natural musicality that flows from South American bodies, Anita Graciano, Y Josephine, Mari Palhares representing Colombia, Venezuela and Brazil respectively, demonstrate a great mix. Ideal balance of voice, melody and instrumentation.
When the group started in 2015 the dynamic was clear. The members study different drumming rhythms from various backgrounds and then follow to influence one another into shaping what has been taught in a new lesson. Although this project might appear recent, Anita, Y, and Mari, planted this Baobá seed way back on the common grounds of friendship and continuous arts making.

MOSKITTO BAR
Moskitto Bar was created in Toronto in 2016 around Tangi Ropars, Ahmed Moneka and Yura Rafaliuk while playing music in the woods.

Moskitto Bar is always evolving and changing, looking to explore the music of the world. Every show brings magic with a musical journey across the world from BrIttany to Bagdad, with a few stops in the Balkans and Ukraine. This is music you’ve never heard before.
Moskitto Bar also brings a message of love, hope and compassion with it’s members from all over the world. A true representation of the multiculturalism of Toronto.
